Probable cause found in Parkersburg man’s death

PARKERSBURG -- Probable cause was found in Wood County Magistrate Court for Derek Burton Taylor, homeless, for the murder of Cory Friend, 30, of Parkersburg on March 21.

According to Magistrate Court records, Taylor assaulted Friend, who died from the injuries. A medical examiner determined Friend's cause of death was blunt force trauma.
