PARKERSBURG -- Seven people were recently arrested on drug charges, and a search warrant yielded 275 grams of methamphetamine.
On Friday, Michael Lee Duncan, 44, 1131 Stadium Drive, Parkersburg, was arrested after a search warrant was executed by agents of the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force, according to a criminal complaint filed in Wood County Magistrate Court.
The search at his residence on Stadium Drive revealed about 275 grams of meth, a loaded firearm and small bags, the complaint said.
Duncan was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and a prohibited person with a firearm and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 surety bond.
Agents with the Parkersburg Police Department's Street Crimes Unit carried out a search warrant at 1410 32nd St., Parkersburg on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of Chad Everett Flores, 51, 1410 32nd St., Parkersburg; Brianna Dawn Will, 25, same address; David Jeffrey Caplinger, 56, same address; Jason Claude Bartram, 45, Parkersburg; and William Patrick Huft, 67, Parkersburg, according to criminal complaints and the Parkersburg Police Department.
Two sets of scales, syringes, smoking devices and about 18 grams of methamphetamine were found in Flores' bedroom, the complaint said.
Will's cellphone was found in a bedroom along with about 8 grams of fentanyl in the dresser drawer and Caplinger, the homeowner, told officers she had slept in the bed overnight.
Caplinger was charged for maintaining a dwelling for drug use in September 2021 and prior to the warrant last week, officers told him people were using his house for drug distribution, the complaint said.
Flores was charged with possession of a controlled substance and is being held at North Central Regional Jail on a $50,000 surety bond. Will was charged with possession of fentanyl with the intent to deliver and is being held at the jail on a $250,000 bond; Caplinger was charged with maintaining a dwelling for the use of controlled substances by others and was released on a $25,000 surety bond.
Brandy Nichole Bills, 37, 300 West State St., Apt. 8, Athens, was arrested Thursday after a police dog indicated she had drugs in her vehicle, according to a criminal complaint.
More than 5 grams of fentanyl, more than 1 gram of methamphetamine, small bags, foil, digital scales and five cell phones were found in the vehicle.
Bills was charged with possession of fentanyl with the intent to deliver and is being held at North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 surety bond.
