Gov. Jim Justice has issued a proclamation calling for the West Virginia Legislature to convene in Special Session at 11 a.m. on Monday, two days ahead of the regular session.
The legislation in the call includes a bill establishing the West Virginia Industrial Advancement Act to provide certain tax incentives, based upon significant investment and employment thresholds, for labor and capital intensive heavy industrial facilities to locate in the state, a release from governor said.
Other supplemental appropriations bills will capitalize upon the state's strong revenues and invest in West Virginia's future to assure jobs and "goodness for generations to come," the release said.
The 2022 regular session convenes Wednesday.
