PARKERSBURG -- Two vehicles were totaled and one person hospitalized following a wreck Saturday morning that resulted in a truck breaking through the side of a downtown building.
Parkersburg Police Sergeant Worstell said a Ford F-250 truck was driving north on Juliana Street around 10:18 a.m. when it ran a red light at the intersection of Fifth and Juliana Street.
At that time, it hit a car that was heading West on Fifth Street and turning onto Juliana.
The truck then veered into the My Way Lounge, breaking through one of its walls.
The report said most of the truck's cab was inside the lounge.
Worstell said a female inside the My Way Lounge had to be taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening leg injury.
The wreck has been cleaned up, and the My Way Lounge is working to repair the missing portion of its Juliana Street wall.
The driver of the truck was cited for failure to yield right of way and for running a red light.
