PARKERSBURG — A former Wood County Commissioner and member of the House of Delegates was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Wood County Solid Waste Authority.

Rick Modesitt’s term will expire June 30, 2023.

“The commission anticipates your experience will be a great asset to the Solid Waste Authority Board,” Charlotte Lane, chairman of the West Virginia Public Service Commission, said.

Modesitt said he is pleased to return to volunteer on this board.

“They do great work and are an asset to Wood County,” Modesitt said. “Looking forward to working with the new Director Andy Hartleben as he implements his fresh vision for the board.”
