PARKERSBURG -- One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in south Parkersburg on Wednesday afternoon.
Lt. Matt Board with the Parkersburg Police Department reported Kailey Crites, 18, of Parkersburg, was transported to WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. She was undergoing evaluation Tuesday evening, officials said.
The accident occurred at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday at W.Va. 95 and Rayon Drive. Crites was westbound in the turn lane of W.Va. 95 preparing to turn onto Rayon Drive when Billy Kidder, 44, of Parkersburg, ran a red light while eastbound on W.Va. 95 and struck her vehicle, Board reported.
Following the accident investigation, Kidder was cited for a red light violation, Board said.
