Parkersburg passes annual fiscal audit
PARKERSBURG — For the second consecutive year, the City of Parkersburg received an audit with an unmodified opinion and no findings.
That means the review of the city’s financial statements for fiscal year 2019-20 accurately presents the city’s financial positions, according to a report presented to the city’s Audit Committee on Monday.
Parkersburg Mayor Tom Joyce praised the work of Finance Director Eric Jiles and other department heads in regard to fiscal policies and procedures.
“The public trust is something I take very seriously, and yet another clean audit demonstrates the overall commitment within the administration,” he said.
The audit report will be posted on the city’s website, parkersburgcity.com, under reports in the Finance section.
