Woman charged with killing 2 men, including father
PARKERSBURG – A woman has been charged with two counts of murder after her father and a man believed to be her fiance died Sunday after being shot.
Hillary Dennison, 27, of 1250 Sunshine Mountain Road, Williamstown, was arrested Sunday afternoon after Wood County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call claiming two individuals had been injured in an accident involving a nail gun at 1250 Sunshine Mountain Road, Williamstown, Sheriff Steve Stephens said.
Harold Dennison, 62, of that address, was pronounced dead at the scene, Stephens said.
Beau Wasmer, 26, of 1282 Sunshine Mountain Road, Williamstown, was taken by ambulance to Marietta Memorial Hospital and succumbed to his injuries within about an hour, the sheriff said.
Both men had been shot with a firearm, Stephens said. It’s not clear whether a nail gun was involved or if that was a “fabrication,” Stephens said. Their bodies have been taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
Hillary Dennison was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and is being held without bond. Because murder is a capital offense, bond would be set at an upcoming hearing in Wood County Circuit Court.
