Vienna Public Library starts home delivery service

VIENNA -- The Vienna Public Library is making house calls.
The library has started its Home Delivery Service, a response to the pandemic and less-than-ideal road conditions making a trip to the library difficult.
The free service is available to library patrons with senior account status and a 26105 address. The Vienna zip code is 26105.
"We are excited to launch this valuable service to help people who might be anxious to leave their homes, or find it difficult to get to the library for curbside pickup," said Megan Dowler, adult services coordinator. "We will strive to ensure safe, contactless delivery of all library materials."
All materials can be requested for home delivery. Patrons may request specific items or the library staff will select materials based on patron interest.
Delivery is by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It began on Tuesday.
