New vaccination clinics scheduled

CHARLESTON — COVID-19 vaccination clinics are scheduled this week throughout West Virginia, according to an announcement by Gov. Jim Justice, the Department of Health and Human Resources and the West Virginia Joint Interagency Task Force.

Clinics will be held in all 55 counties through the Operation Save Our Wisdom initiative. Vaccines are targeted for residents 65 and older.

All clinics are by appointment only and are full, based on existing waiting lists. Individuals will be notified if they are selected for an available slot to receive a vaccine in their area.

Walk-ins will not be accepted.

To pre-register for a vaccine go to the West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System at www.vaccinate.wv.gov.

Inclement weather this week may change schedules, so check local news media, social media and www.vaccinate.wv.gov for any changes or delays, officials said. A clinic originally scheduled last week in Wood County was postponed to this week, then rescheduled again for Monday, Feb. 22, because of the weather.
