PARKERSBURG — Two Parkersburg residents were arrested in connection with a heroin sale and another Parkersburg man was arrested on a separate incident involving a stabbing.
According to criminal complaints filed with the Wood County Magistrate Court, Cassandra Brooke Miller, 35, 1716 Seventh St., Parkersburg, and Austin L. Skidmore, 28, homeless, took part in the transfer and sale of heroin.
The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force observed the drug transaction Tuesday in the Taco Bell parking lot in Mineral Wells were they spotted a vehicle driven by Miller and another driven by Skidmore, the complaint said.
Agents were familiar with Miller as she was on bond for another charge, the complaint said, and she was observed getting into another vehicle for a short period of time before getting back in her car and driving away.
Miller was then approached and was found to have baggies full of drugs including about 10 grams of heroin and scales, the complaint said.

After allegedly stabbing a male victim, Brandon Xavier Boyd, 34, 3 Panters Road, Winfield, was arrested Tuesday, according to a criminal complaint filed with magistrate court.
A detective was asked to investigate the stabbing when the victim was seeking treatment at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center for two lacerations across his neck and throat, the complaint said.
Medical personnel said the victim sustained major injuries and would have to be sedated and placed in the Intensive Care Unit but he was expected to make a full recovery, the complaint said.
The victim had a laceration near his carotid artery, about one millimeter away, the complaint said.
According to the victim, the incident happened while he was sitting in the passenger’s seat of Boyd’s vehicle, the complaint said.
Boyd pulled into the CVS parking lot on Murdoch Avenue and allegedly climbed over the center console to prevent the victim from exiting the vehicle, the complaint said. The victim noticed a knife in Boyd’s hand before feeling a coolness on his chest; when he looked down, he saw his chest was covered in blood, the complaint said.
Boyd admitted to being in an altercation inside of his vehicle.
Boyd is being charged with malicious assault and was being held at North Central Regional Jail on a $200,000 bond.
