That brings the number of deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19 since March to 100, according to the DHHR.

A 69-year-old man from Pleasants County was also reported as a COVID-19 death over the weekend, the 13th such fatality there.

"This is an incredibly difficult time for the families and friends of these West Virginians," said Bill J. Crouch, DHHR cabinet secretary. "We offer our deepest sympathies to all connected to these individuals."

VACCINATIONS

The statewide COVID-19 vaccination registration system is scheduled to go online at 8 a.m. today at vaccinate.wv.gov.

People who cannot register online can call the Vaccine Info Line at 1-833-734-0965 to get help with pre-registration from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, according to a release from the DHHR.

People who were already placed on a waiting list through a local health department or medical provider, as well as those who received their first vaccine dose, will be added to the statewide system and do not need to re-register, the release said.

The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department started a stand-by list last week that drew 5,000 names on the first day. On Friday, the department announced on its Facebook page that it would no longer be taking additional names, at the state's request, so the existing list could be added to the new system.

Details on the next local vaccination clinic have not been announced.
