PARKERSBURG -- A Parkersburg man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly shooting at a victim a total of nine times.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Wood County Magistrate Court, Nathaniel Ryan Reynolds, 20, 1102 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, allegedly aimed and shot a gun in the direction of the male victim.
Law enforcement responded to Charles Street in reference to a wanton endangerment investigation, the complaint said.
Detective R. M. Sanchez from the Parkersburg Police Department conducted an investigation after the victim issued a recorded statement, the complaint said.
The victim described Reynolds' vehicle and Sanchez obtained video evidence from a neighbor which showed Reynolds driving said vehicle and coming to an abrupt stop on Charles Street, the complaint said.
The footage also showed Reynolds exiting the vehicle and had audio of a verbal confrontation taking place and a round chambered into a gun, the complaint said.
Seven shots were fired before Reynolds went back into the vehicle and fired two more, as seen in the footage, the complaint said.
All nine casings were found near the spot of the incident, the complaint said.
Sanchez had recognized Reynolds from previous incidents and went to his residence, the complaint said.
Reynolds wasn't home at the time but Sanchez remembered from the previous incidents that Reynolds frequented the Home Crest Apartments off Nash Street, where he was found, the complaint said.
When law enforcement went to arrest Reynolds, he had a handgun in the vehicle with a fully loaded magazine which had the same bullets that were fired at the scene, the complaint said.
Reynolds is being charged with nine counts of wanton endangerment and was being held at North Central Regional jail on a $35,000 bond.
