PARKERSBURG -- The Wood County Sheriff's Department released the following reports on Nov. 5:

From Oct. 28 to Nov. 3, the office answered 278 calls: 19 traffic stops; 28 complaints by phone and in person; 11 domestic calls and domestic violence protective orders; 10 suspicious persons and vehicles; 11 check area, subject, welfare; 14 disorderly subject, motorist; 26 accidents; eight intrusion alarms; six mental hygiene orders.

Oct. 28

* A deputy responded to W.H. Smith Hardware Inc. on Dupont Road for a Breaking and Entering that had occurred sometime overnight. The employee stated that two buildings were entered, however believed that nothing had been taken. One storage building had the hasp cut out of the garage bay door. At this time investigation is ongoing.

* A deputy responded to I-77 at mile marker 162.5 for a single-vehicle accident involving a deer. The vehicle sustained disabling front-end damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

* Deputies responded to Elizabeth Pike near Grassy Run Road for a vehicle crash. The driver stated she swerved to miss striking a deer then swerved leaving the roadway and hit a tree.

* A citation was issued to Ryan Anthony Allen, 48, of Lemonye Avenue, Poland, Ohio, for no insurance and driving on suspended-revoked.

Oct. 29

* David Allen Parker, 37, of 33rd Street was arrested on charges of DUI. A passenger in the vehicle, Courtney Kesterson, 30, Worthington Mobile Home Park, was arrested on a warrant for petit larceny.

* Tiffany Rene Jameson, 30, of Tygart Street was arrested on a capias for fraudulent use of an access device. She was placed in the Holding Center with no bond.

* A deputy responded to I-77 mile marker 176 for a vehicle accident. The driver stated he lost control of the vehicle due to water on the road, struck a concrete barrier and then overturned. The driver was not injured and the vehicle was towed.

Oct. 30

* Randall C. Beatty, 57, of Country Lane, Walker, was arrested on a warrant for indecent exposure after a deputy had taken a report on Oct. 23 for a subject exposing himself to a clerk at the Dollar General on Staunton Turnpike.

* A deputy spoke with a complainant by phone about a larceny. The complainant reported that as he left to go to work, he noticed his garage door open. Upon entering the garage he observed three Stihl chainsaws had been taken. He believes it occurred sometime overnight.

* A deputy responded to Pike Street at Blair Avenue for a vehicle accident. A citation was issued to Dale Carroll McClung, 70, of Dutch Central Road, Rockport, for no insurance.

Oct. 31

* A deputy responded to I-77 mile marker 162 for a vehicle accident involving a deer. The driver had struck a deer causing it to slide over the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle had front end damage however was able to be driven from the scene. A crash report was taken.

* A citation was issued to Michael Allen Putnam, 53, Four Mile Creek Road, Coolville, for obstructed registration and failure to produce an operators license.

* A deputy responded to Kanawha Hill for a vehicle accident. The driver stated she had swerved to miss a deer, lost control of the vehicle striking the ditch line. The vehicle was towed and a family member transported the driver from the scene.

Nov. 1

* A citation was issued to Richard Roy Harlow, 34, of Sharon Street, Mineral Wells, for driving on suspended/revoked.

* A deputy responded to Homewood Road for a prowler. The area was checked and no prowler was located.

* Samuel James Short, 18, Dickel Avenue, was issued a citation for no insurance and no proof of registration.

* Bernard Lee Lamb, 60, Little Kanawha River Road, was issued a citation for aggravated DUI after deputies responded to a vehicle accident on Little Kanawha River Road. The driver was transported to the hospital.

Nov. 2

* Gennady Pritsker, 44, Finch Road, North Salem, N.Y., was issued a citation for driving on suspended and speeding.

* A deputy responded to Gooseneck Run Road for a structure fire. The deputy was advised the camper trailer was a total loss. Contact was made with the owner of the camper who advised that he was out of town.

Nov. 3

* A deputy responded to Williams Highway for a vehicle crash. The driver stated that a deer had jumped out in front of the vehicle causing him to hit the deer. The deputy observed damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.

* Michelle Dawn Parsons, 38, Romine Road, Washington, W.Va., turned herself in on a capias for failure to appear on two counts of compulsory education offenses.

* A deputy responded to Grafton Street to help enforce an eviction. Shawn Demetrus Jones, 49, Eighth Street, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of meth.

* A deputy responded to Ashby Ridge Road about a gun shot. The complainant reported he heard a gunshot and believed a bullet hit his residence, no damage could be located.
