Two arrested on robbery charges in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG — Two Parkersburg residents were arrested Wednesday on robbery charges.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the Wood County Magistrate Court, Jaclyn Nicole Finley, 33, 1402 Andrew St., Parkersburg, and Jarrod Michael File, 40, 1109 36th St., Parkersburg, were arrested after the investigation of a robbery on Broadway Avenue in Parkersburg.

The victim said a knife was pulled on them while the two stole her tote bag that contained items including a laptop, the complaint said. The victim was shoved to the ground and Finley allegedly said “I’m going to really (expletive) hurt you,” the complaint said.

After stealing the victim’s smartphone, the two fled the area and attempted to withdraw $1,500 on two different occasions, the complaint said. Although the withdrawals were denied, the two used the victim’s smartphone for purchases totaling around $500 and changed their PayPay account information, the complaint said.

Finley and File were being held at North Central Regional Jail without bond.
