Vienna Public Library reopens doors

VIENNA — The Vienna Public Library effective immediately will open to the public for 30-minute sessions with no appointment necessary.

Available services include browsing and check-out, curbside pick-up, faxing and on-site notary. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Mondays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday to Fridays.

To ensure social distancing guidelines, occupancy is limited to 15 patrons at a time with a one-way traffic flow using the River Road entrance. Safety precautions include facial coverings, sanitation stations and enhanced cleaning procedures.

Beginning Oct. 5, the library will offer new evening and weekend hours. The library will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday and Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-2 pm. Saturdays.

Also beginning in October, the library’s Adult Services will offer limited, in-person activities that follow social distancing guidelines. To ensure social distancing, in-person activities have a maximum of 10 participants. Registration is required.
