Applications for Parkersburg deer harvest available

PARKERSBURG -- Applications to participate in an urban deer hunt in Parkersburg are available on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building.

The event will run from Sept. 12 to Dec. 31 in Johnson T. Janes Park.

All applicants are required to pass a safety certification practical test, which will be offered starting at 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Parkersburg Police Range, 2301 Keever St.

Thirty permits will be issued through a drawing on Aug. 31.
