Wood County BOE to meet Monday

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Board of Education will meet in regular session Monday to approve personnel changes and financial matters.

The board also is expected to receive a report on possible reopening guidelines for the 2020-21 school year.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. through the Zoom meetings app. A full agenda and link to the meeting can be found on the Wood County Schools website at www.woodcountyschoolswv.com under About Us: Board Docs: Meetings.

Though board members and some administrators will attend the meeting in person, members of the public are asked to join the meeting online due to social distancing guidelines for COVID-19.

The board is scheduled to recognize this year’s West Virginia History Golden Horseshoe winners. The board also will be voting on personnel changes and financial matters.

Superintendent Will Hosaflook said he plans to speak on guidance from the West Virginia Department of Education concerning reopening schools this fall, school facility usage, professional and service positions and mobile devices.
