PARKERSBURG -- Some more events scheduled in the coming weeks have cancelled or re-scheduled.

The Mid Ohio Valley Sportsman Expo scheduled for April 4 at the Elite Center in Parkersburg has been cancelled until the virus situation has been cleared to conduct events with large crowds, organizers said.

In Marietta, the 29th annual River City Blues Festival scheduled for March 20-21 at the Lafayette Hotel has been cancelled. Refunds are being processed and credit cards will not be charged. Organizers are working with booking agents to have the same lineup for the 2021 event.

In Parkersburg, the Spring Easter Celebration scheduled for 6 p.m. March 31 and its related Easter egg hunt at Parkersburg High School have been canceled due to the closing of area schools, organizer Kiki Angelos said Sunday. Discussions are still underway regarding the Mid-Ohio Valley Easter Parade on April 4 and a decision is expected later this week, she said.
