Car catches fire after crash

PARKERSBURG – A single vehicle crash and fire on Old St. Marys Pike sent one person to the hospital and authorities are looking for two passengers who fled the scene.

The crash happened near the intersection of Old St. Marys Pike and Johnson Creek. A car struck a power pole, catching fire and knocking out power to nearby homes. Witnesses say two passengers pulled the driver out of the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The condition of the driver was not immediately known and few additional details were available.
