GALLIPOLIS -- One person was killed late Wednesday night in a single-vehicle accident on Ohio 143 near milepost 15 in Meigs County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Byron B. Bolin, 46, Albany, Ohio, was killed when the truck he was driving slid off the road and hit a tree, the Gallipolis Post of the Highway Patrol said.
Bolin, who died at the scene, was driving west on Route 143 in a 2006 Chevrolet 2500, the patrol said.
The accident happened shortly before midnight and remains under investigation, the patrol said.
