Driver in Wood County crash identified

PARKERSBURG -- The driver has been identified in a crash that happened Thursday around 7:20 p.m. in Wood County.

Brandon Dooley, 45, of Walker, was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after suffering a medical emergency causing him to crash his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, said Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens. The vehicle was traveling east on U.S. 50 when it hit the guardrail and ended up on Fries Parkway, said Capt. Andrew Watson with Blennerhassett Volunteer Fire Department.

Blennerhassett and Lubeck Volunteer Fire Departments and the Wood County Sheriff's Department responded to the crash.
