MARIETTA — Indictments on drug charges, tampering with evidence and vehicular assault were among those recently sent down by the Washington County Grand Jury. The indictments include:

* Joseph Antill, 42, of 120 Kerr St., Pomeroy, failure to appear. The indictment stems from an arrest in Marietta on Jan. 27, 2018, for aggravated possession of methamphetamine.

* Marcus A. Brown, 24, of 304 Elm St., Belpre, failure to appear. He failed to appear at his court hearing on May 8 after being arrested in July 2018 on a charge of burglary.

* Daniel Francis, 35, last known address is 1574 Elizabeth St., Apt. B, Belpre, was re-indicted for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of cocaine, possession of LSD, trafficking in LSD and aggravated trafficking in drugs.

* Jason Haught, 39, of 99 Cherry Lane, Belpre, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle. The indictment stems from an arrest during a traffic stop in April on Ohio 339.

* Emma Muir, 23, of 611 Daugherty Road, Stockport, tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of detention facility or institution and possession of cocaine. The indictment stems from an arrest in February 2018 after concealing and conveying cocaine onto the grounds of the Washington County Jail.

* Jeffrey D. Smith, 25, of 213 1/2 Elm St., Marietta, aggravated possession of drugs. He was arrested in September in the 200 block of Front Street for possession of methamphetamine.

* Rhonda Tyree Martin, 39, of 259 Sandhill Drive, Reno, tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of detention facility or institution, possession of heroin and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a misdemeanor. She was arrested in February 2018 for concealing and attempting to convey heroin into the Washington County Jail.

* Skylar M. Paul, 26, last known address of 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, two counts of assisted suicide. He was arrested in August 2017 for providing the physical means by which a person commits or attempts to commit suicide.

* Jennifer D. Science-Westmoreland, 47, last known address of 1421 Lancaster St., Apt. 101, Marietta, and Joshua C. Poole, 31, of 225 E. Spring St., Marietta, aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in heroin. aggravated possession of drugs, possession of heroin, tampering with evidence and two counts of having weapons while under disability. The indictment stems from an arrest in May when, during a search warrant was executed at 114 Sunset Drive, Marietta. During the search, agents found 15.35 grans of methamphetamine and .5 grams of heroin in Science-Westmoreland’s bra. Also found in the room were two syringes and scales, which Science-Westmoreland admitted were hers. In the residence was found a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun, which belonged to Joshua Poole. He was under disability from owning or possessing a firearm. Science-Westmoreland was arrested on the first count for trafficking methamphetamine over five times bulk in the vicinity of a child and trafficking heroin in the vicinity of a child.

* James M. Fox Jr., 49, homeless, and Jennifer D. Science-Westmoreland, 47, last known address of 1421 Lancaster St., Apt. 101, Marietta, aggravated trafficking in drugs. aggravated possession of drugs. possession of heroin and aggravated possession of drugs. The indictments stems from an arrest at the Red Roof Inn in Marietta in January 2018. Science-Westmoreland was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Fox was arrested for possessing and trafficking .72 grams of methamphetamine, and possession of heroin.

* David A. Midcap, 54, of 2318 19th St., Akron, aggravated vehicular assault, aggravated vehicular assault, assault on a peace officer, aggravated vehicular assault, aggravated vehicular assault and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The indictment stems from an accident on I-77 in March which caused Sgt. Eric Knowlton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol to be airlifted to a Columbus hospital. Knowlton had initiated a traffic stop on a 2005 GMC Sierra, when Midcap traveled off the southbound lane in a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer and into the berm where the traffic stop was taking place. Four people were injured in the accident, including Midcap, and all vehicles sustained significant damage.

* Quinton Hart, 23, of 3275 Lotz Drive, Grove City, assault on a peace officer. The indictment stems from an arrest in October 2018 when Hart assaulted an officer of the Marietta Police Department.

* Jessica R. English, 39, of 311 Virginia St., Marietta, aggravated possession of drugs and tampering with evidence. In the same arrest was Leroy J. Clark, 44, of 205 Gibbons Place, Marietta, for aggravated possession of drugs. They were arrested in August 2018 in Marietta for possessing methamphetamine, while English was also charged with trying to conceal evidence.

* Jeffrey C. Beaver, 49, of 17824 State Route 550, Marietta, two counts of gross sexual imposition. The indictment stems from an arrest in May 2015 on Ohio 550 in Marietta.

* Caitlyn Ruble, 24, and Keon Hunter, 24, both of 1910 State Route 550, Cutler, burglary theft, tampering with evidence and receiving stolen property. The indictments stem from an arrest in March at 311 King Ave., Cutler, when the indicted trespassed and stole jewelry, electronics and a puppy from the residence. They admitted some of the stolen items were thrown out along the road after leaving the home.

* John E. Barry, 44, of 601 Wheeling Ave., Apt. 301, Cambridge, theft and obstructing official business. The indictment stems from an arrest on April 27 at Walmart in Marietta. Barry allegedly tried to walk out of the store with a shopping cart filled with $1,225.80 worth of merchandise. After running from Marietta Police Department officers, he was captured and taken back to the store where he was arrested. During the interview, he requested to go to the hospital as he was having chest pains. An hour or so after he was released from police custody in care of the hospital, he walked out of the hospital and fled the area.

* Timothy Hoffman, 33, of 24410 Church St., Coolville, theft. The indictment stems from an arrest in December 2018 at 1225 Robert Kelly Road in Decatur Township. He allegedly stole $1,085.05 from a bank account belonging to Nathan Tabler.

* Derek D. Oldfield, 34, of 914 Emerson Ave., Marietta, felonious assault and intimidation. The indictment stems from an arrest on May 13 at the Washington County Jail. While an inmate at the jail, Oldfield allegedly assaulted another inmate by pushing and punching the man unconscious.

* Eric J. Bobb, 37, last known address of 8295 Dozer Ridge Road, Philo, and David R.W. Dunkle, 37, no last known address, two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of grand theft and theft of a motor vehicle. The indictment stemmed from an arrest in April 2018 after a series of burglaries at 2260 Clark Hill Road, Waterford. After an investigation that took several months, it was found that Bobb and Dunkle had broken into the Clark Hill Road home on April 27, 2018, and stole several items. On April 30, 2018, while the homeowner was meeting with the investigators of the first burglary, the indicted again broke into the home and stole jewelry, guns, car batteries, televisions and an ATV. Bobb has been in and out of jail since the investigation began and Dunkle is currently incarcerated at the Belmont Correctional Institute until 2020.

* Meghan E. Dorset, 31, of 295 South Ridge Road, Parkersburg, two counts of grand theft of a firearm and two counts of receiving stolen property. The indictment stems from an arrest in June 2018 when Dorset allegedly stole a Glock 17 generation 4 firearm and a Sig Sauer 9 mm handgun.

* Cory Hooper, 30, of 110 Indian Run Road, Marietta, and Devan D. Welsh, 29, of 1915 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, burglary, theft of firearms and tampering with evidence. The indictments stem from an arrest in May after a burglary at 1230 Martin Road, Lawrence Township. Among the items stolen were seven guns, including a Ruger American rifle 22LR, a Diamondback AR 15, a Riley Defense AK47, a 1943 Mosin Nagant Rifle, a Highpoint 9mm handgun, a 12 gauge shotgun and a Jennings pistol.

* Kenneth L. Barnhart, 39, of 10274 State Route 550, Marietta, and Glenn R. Johnson Jr., 33, of 115 Harmar St., Marietta, possession of heroin. The indictments stem from arrests on Jan. 17 in Marietta for possession of methamphetamine.

* Allen Murphy, 61, of 1005 Goose Run Road, Marietta, illegal cultivation of marijuana. The indictment stems from an arrest in August 2018 for cultivating 1,118.44 grams of marijuana.

* Michael T. Caldwell, 41, of 103 Vernon St., Russell, Ky., possession of cocaine. The indictment stems from an arrest in August 2017 in Washington County for cocaine possession.

* Allison Phillips, 37, of 300 High St., Apt. 207, Oak Hill, W.Va., attempted trespass into habitation and breaking and entering. The indictment stemmed from an arrest in May at 1455 State Route 618 in Belpre. Phillips was arrested after trying to break into the residence after breaking and entering the garage. While he was being searched, a syringe was found in his pocket, which he said was used for his drug habit.

* Marcus A. Brown, 24, of 304 Elm St., Belpre, theft from a person in a protected class. The indictment stemmed from an arrest in December 2018 in Belpre, where Brown allegedly stole an Apple iPad from a 77-year-old woman.

* Jaclyn V. Caldwell, 29, of 1349 Drift Run Road, Sandyville, W.Va., breaking and entering. The indictment stemmed from an arrest in November 2017 for breaking and entering a home at 110 Cross Road, Dunham Township.

* Joseph F. Wells Jr., 29, of 104 Riley Drive, Apt. 10, Marietta, corrupting another with drugs, grand theft of a motor vehicle, theft and theft from a protected class. The indictment stems from charges that Wells furnished a 17-year-old with drugs between March and April. He was also charged with stealing a 2018 Honda CRF 450 RX, along with several car parts. The fourth count stemmed from the theft of money from his wife’s grandmother.

* Shannon D. Lasure, 41, of 1603 Smithfield St., East Liverpool, grand theft of a motor vehicle and theft. Along with Joseph F. Wells Jr., Lasure was charged with stealing a 2018 Honda CRF 450 CRX and several car parts.

* Marcus A. Turify, 28, of 223 Greene St., Marietta, theft. The indictment stemmed from the arrests of Joseph F. Wells Jr., Shannon D. Lasure and Turify for the theft of several car parts.

* Joseph F. Wells, Jr., 29, of 104 Riley Drive, Apt. 10, also was indicted in a separate count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. In January, he was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

* Destiny F. Castleberry, 37, of 701 N. Huron St., Wheeling, and Kelcey M. Sammons, 30, of 136 Crabtree Road, Eudora, Ark., aggravated trafficking in drugs and possession criminal tools. The indictments stem from arrests in September 2018 at 701 Pike St., Marietta, for possessing and trafficking methamphetamine.
