Mid-Ohio Valley Restaurant Week begins Monday

CHARLESTON — The inaugural Mid-Ohio Valley Restaurant Week will be Monday-March 4 with 13 local restaurants participating, according to Buzz Food Service.

“MOV Restaurant Week encourages locals and visitors alike to enjoy a great culinary experience, visit an old favorite, or find a new hidden gem, all while supporting local businesses,” according to a press release.

Dinner will be a three-course, fixed-price menu for $30 per person. Tickets are not necessary for this week, but reservations are recommended.

Each menu consists of an appetizer, entree and dessert and all costs are exclusive of tax, beverages and gratuity.

MOV Restaurant Week participants are Austyn’s Restaurant in Marietta, Boathouse BBQ in Marietta, CJ’s Italian Kitchen in Vienna, daVinci’s Italian Restaurant in Williamstown, J.P. Henry’s in Parkersburg, Mango Latin Bistro in Parkersburg, Marietta Brewing Co. in Marietta, River Town Grill in Marietta, Spagna’s in Marietta, Spats at The Blennerhasset Hotel in Parkersburg, The Galley in Marietta, The House of Wines in Marietta, and The Levee House in Marietta.

Guests can peruse menus on the Facebook page, facebook.com/MOVRestaurantweek. Local designer Caroline Sigmon, intern with Just A Jar Design Press, designed the logo and materials for MOV Restaurant Week.

“The Mid-Ohio Valley has a great selection of locally owned restaurants and we hope the public will be excited to participate in this event. The goal of Restaurant Week is much greater than just drumming up business at what is typically a slow time of year in the restaurant business. Although that’s important and valuable, we also hope to attract first-time visitors to participating restaurants and convert them into fans and regular supporters of locally owned establishments. During Restaurant Week, diners can have great meals at one fixed price and also feel great about supporting small business,” said Dickinson Gould, president of Buzz Food Service, based in Charleston.
