COVID-19 cases still rising in West Virginia
CHARLESTON — Coronavirus patients again exceed 600 in state hospitals where nearly 80 percent are unvaccinated, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Of the 602 people in the hospital, 481, or 79.9 percent, are unvaccinated. The state reported 208 cases in an intensive care unit, of which 173, or 83.2 percent, are unvaccinated. More than 85 percent of patients on a ventilator, 108 of the 126, are unvaccinated. Hospital admissions of coronavirus patients have not been this high since the end of October.
