Multiple fire departments respond to two fires Tuesday
PARKERSBURG – Multiple local fire departments responded to a brush fire and structure fire Tuesday evening. The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department was called in to a quarter-mile-long brush fire around 5 p.m. according to Vienna Chief Steve Scholl on Wednesday. Scholl said the fire was near Staunton Avenue and Corning Park and spreading toward the railroad and neighboring businesses. “Once we arrived on the scene we had the fire out within an hour,” said Scholl.
