PARKERSBURG - The work of an artist from Woodsfield will be on display this month at WesBanco Bank on Market Street in downtown Parkersburg.
Yvonne Reusser also is a business owner who has been painting for more than 60 years in all water media, especially transparent watercolor.
"My inspirations come from landscapes, both local and travels around the world," Reusser said. "Also, I receive fresh floral bouquets and like to capture them before they fade for a permanent reminder."
Reusser sells her artwork at her business in Woodsfield, Modern Home & Hardware, and at her gallery. She has operated an art and framing gallery since 1999.
Her paintings also are available on Etsy, eBay and at Creative Expressions Gift Shop at 118 S. Paul St., Woodsfield.
Reusser has a bachelor's of fine arts from Akron University and throughout the years has taken private art classes. Her paintings have received numerous awards, including best of show, first- and second-place and honorable mention in many exhibits.
She has exhibited at the Monroe Arts Council Annual April Arts Exhibit for the past 29 years, at the Community Arts Alliance and Everyone's Exhibit at Oglebay Institute.
The Reusser art exhibit may be viewed during October at WesBanco, 415 Market St., during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.
