PARKERSBURG – Artsbridge has announced two events this fall to celebrate family, music and a special 40th anniversary celebration.

The organization that promotes arts in communities and schools has scheduled two signature events, a free family musical presented with the American Pops Orchestra and WVU Parkersburg followed by the 40th Anniversary Keys & Community Dueling Pianos fundraiser.

“As we celebrate 40 years of serving our community, these events represent everything Artsbridge stands for,” Lyndsay Dennis, executive director of Artsbridge, said. “From introducing children to the magic of live performance to bringing our community together through music and celebration, every event helps ensure the arts remain accessible for future generations.”

The American Pops Orchestra will perform "The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 at WVU Parkersburg. The interactive musical brings the children’s story to life through music, storytelling and audience participation, creating a memorable experience for children and adults alike.

The show will feature Luke Frazier, a Parkersburg native and founder and maestro of the American Pops Orchestra. Also performing is Amanda McGovern, a Wheeling native and senior acting student at West Virginia University who earned first place in the American Pops Orchestra’s NextGen: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow national vocal competition.

Joining them will be Hilary Morrow and Audri Bartholomew.

While admission is through community partnerships, registration is required and seating is limited. Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit Artsbridge and support its mission of bringing quality arts programming to the Mid-Ohio Valley.

To register go to the Artsbridge Facebook page or this link https://theoldlady.eventbrite.com.

The celebration will continue with the Keys & Community, a 40th anniversary Dueling Pianos Fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3 the Center on Market, also known as the Resiliency Center.

Guests will enjoy an evening of high-energy entertainment featuring interactive dueling pianists, audience requests, sing-alongs and laughter while supporting the Artsbridge mission to educate, entertain and enrich through the arts.

The itinerary includes dinner, a cash bar, silent auction and a 50-50 drawing. Proceeds support Artsbridge’s 14 year-round programs that serve thousands of children, families, seniors and individuals in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Tickets for the anniversary celebration are $70 each and are on sale now.

A table sponsorship that includes 10 tickets is $1,000. Information about sponsorships and pricing and to buy tickets is available at https://artsbridgeonline.org/1575-2/.
