PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - The WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation raised $51,000 at its 39th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, Aug. 3, at the Parkersburg Country Club.
The money raised from this year’s event will benefit the Women and Children’s Fund at WVU Medicine Camden Clark, advancing care for pediatric patients and their families, with an emphasis on early childhood health and services for women, according to a press release from Camden Clark.
“We know healthy families are the foundation of a healthy community, and we’re so grateful to our players and community partners for joining us in supporting local families,” said Kim Couch, executive director of the Camden Clark Foundation.
The event’s fundraising total reflects the generosity of the tournament’s 144 golfers, sponsors, volunteers, vendors and community partners, along with proceeds from the Foundation’s Helicopter Golf Ball Drop, made possible by Mondo Polymer Technologies.
“This event is a true celebration of our community and the partners and vendors who have supported us throughout the years,” Couch said. “Every sponsorship, registration and donation helps Camden Clark provide exceptional care for women, children and families throughout the region.”
