Volunteers from the Parkersburg Elks Lodge 198 served 20 people on July 18 and 78 people on July 3 at the Latrobe Street Mission in Parkersburg. Community service is part of the Elks' core principles of charity, justice, brotherly love and fidelity. The Elks Lodge also held its monthly benefit breakfast on July 12 for the families that lost their homes in Belpre in May. Breakfasts are usually held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first Sunday of the month. Raffles and 50/50 tickets are sold to supplement the breakfast. (Photo provided)
