PARKERSBURG – As part of the nationwide America 250 celebration, Museums of the MOV, the garden committee of the Wood County Historical and Preservation Society and the Wood County Commission are sponsoring an area-wide effort to recognize gardens displaying a patriotic theme.
Gardens, large or small, can be registered at the Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau at 113 Ann St. Upon registration, gardeners will receive a 250th garden stake.
A limited number of 250th commemorative garden pots, created by the potters at the Parkersburg Art Center, will be awarded to the gardens displaying beauty and creativity.
