BELPRE – The Belpre America 250 Kickoff Celebration will be rescheduled from Saturday to Monday, July 6 due to inclement weather this weekend.

The rescheduled event will take place from 5-8 p.m. at Howes Grove Park in Belpre. Guests can enjoy hot dogs, desserts, refreshments and chips during the picnic.

The picnic is served and provided by the Belpre Area Veterans and members of Boys Scouts.

There will be children’s art projects presented by Artsbridge and the oldest veteran in Washington County will be recognized.

Guests can also expect a petting zoo during the event with small farm animals as well as games and activities for kids.

The National Weather Service in Charleston on Saturday calls for showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. There’s an 80% chance of rain Friday night into Saturday morning.
