Marietta College to host Community Days events
MARIETTA – Marietta College will host its annual Community Days this month, a series of events centered around Pioneer baseball and softball that bring together students, alumni and local residents. Organized by students in the college’s Sport Management Program, the tradition features fan-focused activities, team appearances and free events designed to engage the Mid-Ohio Valley community.
Events began with Ballpark on the Mall, Thursday, followed by Pizza and Pios from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at The Original Pizza Place. Softball Community Day is scheduled for April 18 at Jeanne Arbuckle Field, with activities at noon and a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m., while Baseball Community Day will be held April 25 at Don and Sue Schaley Field at Pioneer Park, also beginning at noon with a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
Community Days are led by sport management students in partnership with the Pioneer Activities Council, faculty and staff, and the baseball and softball teams.
