Wood County Christian inducts students into National Honor Society

WILLIAMSTOWN — Six students at Wood County Christian School have been inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society.

Ceremonies were held on March 17 at the Evergreen Bible Church located across from the school.

The inductees were: Sophie Azinger, daughter of Mike and Jacqueline Azinger of Vienna; Elliot Handley, daughter of Aaron and Adria Handley of Beverly; Ellie Piatt, daughter of Matt and Susan Piatt of Vienna; Caleb Coppernoll, son of Marcy Kelley and Marc Coppernoll of Marietta; Tobias Chin, son of Joseph and Youngha Chin of Vienna; and Rowan Johnson, son of Arron and Erika Johnson of Parkersburg

Students selected for the National Honor Society must meet rigorous standards in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Eligibility requires a minimum 3.6 GPA, a demonstrated commitment to serving others in the school and community, active participation and leadership in school or civic activities, and the consistent display of integrity, respect, cooperation, and responsibility.

Wood County Christian School in Williamstown was established 31 years ago and is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and regionally accredited by Cognia. The school has grades from preschool to 12.
