PHS spring Easter celebration set for Tuesday

PARKERSBURG — The annual spring Easter celebration will take place Tuesday in the horseshoe at Parkersburg High School, with activities beginning at 5:30 p.m. and entertainment starting at 6.
Guest speaker will be PHS Foundation President Fred Earley, providing an update on the renovation of the school’s planetarium.
An Easter egg hunt for all ages and children with disabilities will feature 4,000 filled eggs and the giveaway of two children’s bicycles. Children who find golden eggs will receive an Easter basket, one in each age category. The hunt is sponsored by Elks Lodge #198.
The program will include the PHS Brass Ensemble, A Cappella Choir, Red Wings, cheerleaders and more clubs and groups, along with the Jackson Middle School Select Choir and Hamilton Middle School A Cappella group.
Other activities include crafts, face painting, cookies and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
