Sobriety Checkpoint planned for Wednesday, January 7
PARKERSBURG — The West Virginia State Police in conjunction with the Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Wood County on West Virginia 47 in Parkersburg, near the State Police Detachment.
The sobriety checkpoint may move to a different location if the original location becomes hazardous due to traffic conditions or other reasons deemed to make the location unsafe. The planned alternate location would be located at WV 95 at Kemper Street in Parkersburg.
The sobriety checkpoint will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday and conclude near midnight.
Motorists who wish to avoid the sobriety checkpoint may take an alternate route of travel.
