RACINE, Ohio — In recognition of American Heart Health Month, Coplin Health Systems will host its annual Heart Health Lab Screening event on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southern Local Wellness Center, located at 906 Elm St. in Racine.

The event offers community members an affordable opportunity to gain insight into their heart health and overall wellness through a comprehensive panel of laboratory screenings. The cost to participate is $55, payable by cash, check, or credit card. This screening is a self-pay service and will not be billed to insurance.

Included in the screening are the following tests: Thyroid (TSH), Blood Count/Anemia (CBC), Cholesterol/HDL/LDL/Triglycerides (Lipid Panel), Glucose/Electrolytes (CMP), Hemoglobin A1C, and Vitamin D.

Participants should fast for at least eight hours prior to testing to ensure accurate results. Lab results will be mailed directly to participants, who may choose to share them with their primary care provider or schedule a follow-up appointment with Coplin Health Systems staff to review results and discuss next steps.
