2026 Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest

MARIETTA – Marietta Elks Lodge #477 will host the local Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic School in Marietta. More than three million boys and girls ages 8-13 will participate nationwide in this free throw shooting contest which highlights the Elks commitment to America’s youth.

The contest will feature divisions for both boys and girls. Within each division, contestants will be split into categories (ages 8-9, ages 10-11, and ages 12-13) based upon their ages as of April 1, 2026. Winners from each category within each division will advance to the district contest in Marietta on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026.

The contest will begin promptly at 9 a.m. All participants must register at the contest site between 8 and 9 a.m. on the date of the contest. Admission and participation is free.
