Floating on Air: Parkersburg and Vienna Christmas parade results

PARKERSBURG – Hundreds of people lined the streets in Vienna and Parkersburg on Saturday as each hosted its annual Christmas parade, drawing families and spectators from across the Mid-Ohio Valley. Vienna’s parade was held earlier in the day on Grand Central Avenue, where spectators crowded sidewalks to watch a procession of floats and decorated vehicles from local businesses, schools and community organizations, along with entries from local fire departments. Parkersburg hosted its annual Christmas parade later along Market Street, featuring floats sponsored by local businesses and schools and participation from the local police and fire departments. Organizers estimated turnout in the hundreds at each event.
