PARKERSBURG – People can contact 211 for information on food pantries, said Stacy DeCicco, executive director of the United Way of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Due to the increased need, many food pantries’ hours of operation are fluid right now, she said. Calling 211 can provide people with the information they need about when and where to receive food and the criteria of each location.
“211 is staffed around the clock, and we are working diligently to make sure we have the most up-to-date information to give to callers,” DeCicco said. “We are able to match if they are a good candidate for that pantry.”

MARIETTA – All Washington County food pantries accept check or cash donations. All have basic expenses to cover (electricity bills, etc.). Some may also need specific items such as baby formula or diabetic foods.
