Blennerhassett Chapter NSDAR meets

PARKERSBURG — The Blennerhassett Chapter NSDAR held its monthly meeting on Sept. 20 at the Blennerhassett Museum with 21 members present.
They were Stacy Adams, Jan Barnes, Mary Ellen Brown, Ashley Burgess, Loretta Frederick, Randi Gray, Cristy Hanlon, Carla Hennen, Priscilla Hopkins, Emily Larkins, Dianne McClung, Ruth Myers, Chris Painter, Erin Phillips, Mickie Richardson, Catherine Sams, Shannon Sams-Harper, Linda Seabolt, Tammy Taylor, Judy Warfield, Melody Zimmerman; and two members via Zoom, Joanne Backus and Mary Pfeifer. New member Emily Larkins was officially welcomed to the chapter. Mary Ellen Brown presented the program on taking the Citizenship test and some details about becoming a U. S. Citizen.
It was noted that the chapter won awards at the recent West Virginia Northern District meeting, having received the Leadership Training, Chapter Level award, Twinkling Star and Shooting Star, DAR Project Patriot Outstanding Support for the Military, Membership Committee, Discover Treasured Gems, Master Report Committee, Chapter Achievement Awards One Hundred One to One Hundred Fifty Members. Flag of the United States of America Committee, Second Place in the East Central Division for Chapter with the most DAR Flag Certificates Presented, Literacy Promotion Committee, Outstanding Financial Support for Literacy Promotion, East Central Division Literacy Funding and America 250 Committee Fourth Place for Jeep Rally Event.
