ELIZABETH — The annual Beef BBQ sponsored by the Wirt County FFA Chapter will be held Oct. 4 at Wirt County High School.

This year’s event features a new day and an added opportunity to support the chapter through a live auction.

The evening will kick off with a beef dinner at 4 p.m. Meals will include slow-roasted beef, two sides, a roll, a drink and dessert for $10.

Following dinner, guests can stay for a live auction beginning at 6 p.m. featuring handmade items, themed baskets and donated goods from local supporters.

All proceeds from the event will support Wirt County FFA members. Funds will help cover the cost of attending the National FFA Convention, participating in leadership events and providing members with resources needed for competitions and chapter activities throughout the year.

Residents are encouraged to donate items for the auction. Contact the chapter by email by Friday at wirtcoffa@wirtcountyschools.com.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for great food, fun, and fellowship while supporting our students’ opportunities in FFA,” Elizabeth Adams, FFA adviser, said. “Every ticket and every bid truly makes a difference for our members.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
