PARKERSBURG — WesBanco Bank is featuring the photography works of Samantha Short during August.
Short is a photographer who has been taking pictures for over 20 years and a year ago opened the S & S Family Photography LLC business with her family.
“My passion is to capture God’s creations,” said Short.
Within the past five years she has started capturing smiles and memories but still loves to capture all things that catch her eye.
“The mountains and waterfalls of West Virginia will always hold a special place in my heart,” she said.
In her exhibit at the bank one photograph is of a mountain range in Afghanistan that started her pull to find the beauty in all of God’s creations – even in a combat zone. Short was deployed with the Army to Afghanistan and one day was handed a camera and told to “capture something” with this photo being one she took, as well as becoming the company photographer. The remaining exhibit are photographs of places in West Virginia.
Short began photography as a hobby, but with the formation of the business their favorite subjects to photograph are nature and weddings. She may be reached through their email, ssfamilyphotography@gmail.com.
The Samantha Short photography exhibit may be viewed at WesBanco Bank, 415 Market St., during regular business hours of Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
