Boys & Girls Club CEO leaving for Minnesota post
PARKERSBURG — The CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Parkersburg has resigned to pursue an opportunity with an organization in Duluth, Minn., the organization announced on Monday.
Lynn Reins will be the new CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland at the end of September.
“This is a truly bittersweet announcement. I have loved working with our kids, our families, our staff, our board, our community for the past five years,” Reins said. “I am beyond excited for this next step in my BGC journey.”
Among the accomplishments at Parkersburg organization are increasing average daily attendance by more than 300%, opening two new sites in Mineral Wells and Glouster, a 600% growth in transportation options and securing $750,000 in Congressionally Directed Spending for outdoor capital improvements, the club said in a release.
“I am so proud of the work we have accomplished, the lives we have impacted and the growth we have seen,” Reins said. “There is so much work we’ve started but not completed, and I can’t wait to see the next leader come in and take this organization on to even greater heights.”
The board of directors, with the support of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, has launched a nationwide search for the organization’s next leader.
