The Parkersburg Homecoming committee on Monday recognized Blennerhassett Hotel co-owners Lee Rector and Wayne Waldeck, second and third from left. Rector received the Spirit of Homecoming award for his dedication to the pageants and support of downtown events, while Waldeck, who also owns Napoli’s and McHappy’s, was presented with the George Kellenberger Volunteer of the Year award in recognition for his years of service to the community. “I can’t think of two more deserving people to receive these awards,” said Homecoming President Bob Mercer, right.
