Marietta College Baseball Camp of Champs

Marietta College Baseball and BSN Sports are again teaming up for the Camp of Champs. The camps will take place at Don & Sue Schaly Field at Pioneer Park. The Day Camp will run from July 7-9 and is open to 2nd-8th graders.

The Fall Prospect Camp will take place on August 24th and is open to 10th-12th graders. The Winter Prospect Camp will take place on Dec. 14 and is open to 10th-12th graders.

11th annual St. Marys Wrestling Clinic

The 11th annual St. Marys Wrestling Clinic will be held July 8-10.

The clinic runs from 9-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. each day at St. Marys High School Auxiliary Gym.

The clinic is open to individuals in kindergarten through fifth grade for the first session, and grades 6-12 for the second session.

The cost is $40 per wrestler in kindergarten through fifth grade and $70 for grades 6-12. Individuals registering before July 1 receive a free T-shirt.

Clinic instructors include Pat Sole, Chris Daggett and Wiley Houser. Sole is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and a former wrestling coach at both Ohio Valley University and Liberty University. Daggett wrestled collegiately and is a former assistant coach at OVU. House is a St. Marys alum and Glenville State University wrestler.

West Virginia Baseball Camp

The WVU Baseball Camp will be held at The Dugout in Parkersburg from 4-7 p.m. on July 24.

The camp is designed for kids ages 5-12.

Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis Association Meeting Thursday

The next Mid-Ohio Valley Tennis Association (MOVTA) meeting is July 10.

It will be held at 6 p.m. at Panera in Vienna. Anyone interested in area tennis are invited to attend.

Also, the MOVTA Power Point Tennis schedule is as follows: July 6 (no tennis), July 13 (tennis matches) and July 20 (Sign-Off Sunday). Meet at City Park tennis courts from 2-4 p.m.

Colorado Rockies Showcase in Struthers (Ohio)

The Cene Park Baseball Complex in Struthers, Ohio, will host the 2025 Colorado Rockies scout Ed Santa’s annual summer showcase for high school players on Saturday, Aug 9.

In conjunction with the Santa showcase Cene Park will offer games that weekend to uncommitted player scout teams. Each team will play three games that weekend: One on Saturday evening after the showcase and two on Sunday.

The cost per team will be $480.
