Around the Race Course: Mile Marker 10

Racers will have a slight uphill as they make their way across the Fifth Street Bridge.
Runners will pass the mile 10 marker shortly after turning right on Division Street from Camden Avenue, as they make their way to the Fifth Steet Bridge. Division Street turns into Fifth Street shortly before the bridge. Starting this slight uphill on the bridge, participants will have beautiful views of the Little Kanawha River, which will be the second crossing of the river during the half marathon. The runners and walkers will have a short descent coming off the bridge prior to the road leveling out ahead of another slight downhill before a sharp right turn at the intersection of Fifth and Avery streets. The News and Sentinel Half Marathon and Two-Mile Race will be held Aug. 16. Register for the races at: https://www.newsandsentinelhalfmarathon.com/. Questions?
