Tree removal being conducted on Highland Avenue

WILLIAMSTOWN — Highland Avenue (West Virginia 14) in Williamstown will be closed beginning north of Waverly Road (Wood County 1) between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Thursday for the safe removal of trees.
The W.Va. 14 northbound detour route is West Virginia 31 north in Williamstown to Ohio 7 north in Marietta to Interstate 77 south to W.Va. 14 south at exit 185. The southbound detour route is W.Va. 14 north in Williamstown to I-77 north to Ohio 7 south in Marietta to W.Va. 31 south to W.Va. 14 south.
An additional detour route bypassing the closure area includes I-77 southbound to West Virginia 68 South at exit 179 to Rosemar Road (Wood County 14/16) to W.Va. 14 north.
Motorists are asked to plan accordingly. Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the work schedule.
