Artsbridge Summer Music Series kicks off Thursday

PARKERSBURG — The Artsbridge Summer Music Series opens on Thursday with a band celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Insured Sound kicks off the 2025 concerts held 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at the City Park bandshell in Parkersburg. The show is sponsored by DeBarr Trucking.
Opening the show will be Evie Schaffer, a local singer-songwriter.
Thursday’s concert will be a celebration of the 50 years since Insured Sound was created.
Members of the band are Greg Ring on keyboard, sax and flute; Susan Owens as the lead vocalist; Rick Barnhart on bass; Don Staats as the lead guitarist; and Matt Piatt on drums.
Concerts are free through support from the community and sponsors.
Parking will be affected this year because of construction at the park. Artsbridge encourages guests to arrive early and follow the signs and help from volunteer guides.
Lawn chairs are recommended.
