Picture This: Requiem for Sistersville High School

Members of the Sistersville High School Alumni Band were part of the parade Saturday to celebrate the 126th annual Sistersville High School Reunion. The theme of this year's weekend-long event was "Stars and Stripes Forever." Sistersville High School closed in 1993. Its students began to attend Tyler Consolidated High School, whose marching band also participated in the parade. Other weekend activities included on Friday a chapel remembrance ceremony at the historic SHS gym, luncheon at The Elks Club, Sistersville Country Club golf outing, and an evening of music back at the club. The club also hosted Saturday's awards ceremony and announcement that next year's weekend theme will be "Wild, Wild, West," and an evening dance in the ballroom. (Photo by Randy Rutherford)
